Semax

Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide (Pro-Gly-Pro-Glu-His-Phe-Met, CAS 80714-61-0) derived from the ACTH 4-10 fragment with an appended Pro-Gly-Pro sequence that confers resistance to endopeptidase degradation. In neuronal cultures it increases BDNF expression, activates TrkB receptor signaling, and modulates transcriptional networks involved in synaptic plasticity and neuroprotection. It is a standard research probe for BDNF-TrkB pathway studies and ACTH-fragment neuroactivity. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
