Sermorelin Acetate is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide (CAS 86168-78-7) corresponding to the biologically active N-terminal fragment of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (hGHRH 1-29 amide). It binds to the GHRH receptor on anterior pituitary somatotrophs and activates adenylate cyclase via Gs-protein coupling, increasing intracellular cAMP and stimulating growth hormone secretion in pituitary cell culture models.
