Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human GHRH (hGHRH 1-44 amide) with a trans-3-hexenoic acid group conjugated to the N-terminal tyrosine, conferring resistance to dipeptidyl peptidase IV cleavage and extending pharmacokinetic half-life relative to native GHRH in biochemical models. It activates the GHRH receptor with full agonist activity, driving Gs-protein/cAMP signaling in pituitary somatotroph cultures. The hexenoyl modification makes it a useful tool compound for studying GHRH receptor kinetics separately from the peptide's proteolytic stability profile. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
